Terms of Use
Last updated October 9, 2026.
1. Parties
These terms are between KC Service and Consulting LLC, Albuquerque, New Mexico ("KCSC", "I", "we"), and you: the person or organization that buys a seat ("the buyer") and the named person who uses it ("the student"). KCSC Training is the training line of KC Service and Consulting LLC. By buying a seat, redeeming a seat code or signing in, you accept these terms.
2. The License
A seat is a license for one named person to read one volume of Structural Dynamics Testing in Practice on this site for 12 months from that person's first sign-in. An unused seat expires 12 months after purchase. The license is personal and non-transferable except as the team terms below allow. It is a license to view: you may not share your sign-in, copy, scrape, record, download or redistribute the course, its figures, slides, questions or lab kit pages, or use any automated means to read it. Short quotations with attribution are fine. The lab kit pages may be printed while access is active; nothing else prints. The only downloads are the certificate, the transcript and the Volume 2 and 3 scripts.
3. Team Terms
A buyer of two or more seats, or the manager named on an in-person block, is a team purchaser. The team purchaser may assign seats by code or by invitation, and may reassign a seat to another person while the first holder has passed fewer than 25 percent of the volume's sections. At renewal, departed users may be swapped for new ones. The team purchaser sees each seat's progress and quiz scores, never the student's answers, and may export that record for training files. The student is told this when the seat is activated.
4. What Is and Is Not Included
A seat includes every section of the volume, its figures and slides, the lab kit print pages, the quizzes, the question box, the transcript and the certificate. Corrections and new editions are included as described in Section 5. A seat does not include support beyond the question box, and the question box has a scope: questions cover the content of the volume, its concepts, examples, figures and errata. They do not cover diagnosis, setup or acceptance of a specific system, test or fixture, or review of your data; those are consulting engagements, quoted separately. Answers are educational, not engineering advice for your installation. Answers are best effort, typically within one to two weeks, with no guaranteed response time, and end when access ends.
5. Editions and Corrections
Corrections are free and immediate. A new edition is free to anyone with active access. A student whose access has lapsed gets the new edition by renewing. Early-access buyers get the recorded lectures free when they are added.
6. Renewal
Renewal is $295 per seat for a further 12 months, available any time before expiry and until 90 days after it. All progress stays. After 90 days a returning student buys a new seat at the current price and keeps the certificates and transcript history.
7. Certificates
The volume certificate is a certificate of completion, issued when every section's quiz is passed. It is not a certification, and no CEU or PDH credit is granted; a statement of hours is available, with acceptance at a board's discretion. Each certificate carries a code, and the verification page shows the holder's name, the volume, the edition, the date and the hours to anyone who has the code. A certificate on a refunded seat is revoked, and the verification page says so.
8. Payments
Card sales are made by Stripe as merchant of record. Stripe's terms of sale apply to the purchase; the receipt comes from Stripe (Link), and the statement reads LINK.COM* KC SERVICE CONSULTING. Prices are in US dollars, before tax; tax is calculated at checkout from your location. Orders of $5,000 and more may instead be paid by invoice against a purchase order, net 30, in which case KC Service and Consulting LLC is the seller and New Mexico gross receipts tax is added where it applies. Purchases keep the price paid.
9. Refunds
Refunds and cancellation, for course seats, unactivated team seats and in-person weeks, are set out on the Refunds and Cancellation page, which is part of these terms.
10. Safety
The course is educational material. It does not replace, and must not be read as overriding, the equipment manuals, the manufacturer's procedures or your site's rules, which govern every action on your equipment. Vibration test systems carry stored energy, high voltage, moving parts and lifted loads. Nothing in the course authorizes you to open a cabinet, defeat an interlock or run a test you are not trained and permitted to run at your site.
11. Evaluation Seats
An evaluation seat, where issued, runs 30 days, carries a visible watermark, and earns no certificate.
12. One Active Session
An account has one active session. Signing in on a second device ends the first session. The account page shows the active session and lets you sign out everywhere.
13. Termination
KCSC may end a seat without refund for sharing a sign-in, scraping or copying the course, or misuse of the question box, after notice to the buyer. Seats bought for a team are revoked only for the person concerned.
14. No Warranty
The course is provided as it is. KCSC does not warrant that it is free of errors, that it fits a particular purpose, or that it will be available without interruption. Errors reported through the question box are corrected under Section 5.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, KCSC's total liability arising from the course or these terms is limited to the price paid for the seat concerned, and KCSC is not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental loss, including damage to equipment, test articles or data, or lost time. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
You indemnify KCSC against claims arising from your misuse of the course, including use contrary to Section 2 or Section 10.
17. Privacy
The Privacy Policy describes what the site collects and why. It is part of these terms.
18. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of New Mexico. Any dispute is heard in the state or federal courts sitting in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, and both sides consent to that venue. There is no arbitration clause.
19. Changes
KCSC may change these terms with notice by email to buyers and students and by a new "last updated" date on this page. A change does not reduce the rights of a seat already bought.
