In Person

A Week Built Around Your Lab

Five days can't cover two volumes, so the week doesn't try. I build it around the systems on your floor and the tests your people actually run, and leave out what they never will. Everyone in the room gets a seat on Volumes 1 and 2 for the rest, so nothing is lost by focusing. The reading is the pre-work: with it done and the quizzes passed, the five days go to hands-on time on your machine and to the gaps the quizzes show, instead of to lecture. A minimum completion is required before day 1, set per block and shown on the team page.

Who It Is For

A whole lab. The week is built around one site's equipment, people and procedures, which is why it is not sold by the seat.

Class Size

Cap of 12 attendees. Hands-on work runs in groups of no more than 6, because about six people can see into an amplifier cabinet or work around a slip table at once. With 7 to 12 attendees the class splits into two rotating groups: one at the machine, the other on structured exercises with your own data and checklists. More than 12 means a second week. There is no minimum headcount.

What's in a Week

  • Your equipment. The shakers, amplifiers, fixtures and controller on your floor, not a generic bench.
  • Your tests. The profiles and procedures your programs run, worked with your own data where you can share it.
  • Your people. A seat on Volumes 1 and 2 for every attendee, with the reading done before day one, so the five days go to hands-on time and to the gaps the quizzes show.
  • Preparation for your site. Reviewing your procedures, specifications and data before the visit, and building your lab kit. It is included in the quote.

What It Includes

  • A 12-month online seat on Volumes 1 and 2 for every attendee, issued four to six weeks before the visit for the pre-work.
  • The online volume certificates, earned through the quizzes, and the in-person certificate recording the dates, the lab and the hands-on work on your system.
  • Domestic travel.

Labs Under Six People

Online seats, plus hands-on training topics folded into a service visit at the normal day rates. The week itself is not discounted for a small group.

For one or two people, the open class in Albuquerque runs the same syllabus on bench-scale shakers, from an interest list that opens a class when a month fills.

Quoting

Every week is quoted for its site: the days on site, the preparation for your equipment and procedures, and the seats. Quotes are valid 30 days. Rescheduling is free 30 or more days before the week; inside 30 days, travel already booked is billed; inside 14 days, half of the week is billed. The full terms are on the refunds and cancellation page.
