1. The Standard
KCSC Training aims at WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the public site and the course. In practice that means: text and line colors that reach a 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio, a visible focus on every control, a skip link, one heading structure per page, landmarks, keyboard reach to every control including the figure controls, quiz results announced to a screen reader, motion reduced when the system asks for it, and a text description for every figure with a text readout for every interactive one.
2. Meaning Is Never Carried by Color Alone
Pass and "not yet" carry an icon, a word and a rule as well as a color. Figure lines carry line style, markers and direct labels as well as color. Chart regions are hatched with a boundary, not only tinted.
3. Known Gaps
- Interactive figures draw on a canvas. Each has a text description and a live text readout of its current values, but the plot itself is not navigable by a screen reader.
- Equations are rendered as HTML with MathML alongside; some screen readers read the MathML better than others.
- The slides page under 640 pixels shows slides as stacked cards and has no slide counter or swipe.
- The certificate and transcript PDFs are tagged for reading order but have not yet been tested with every reader.
4. Assistive Technology Is Never Blocked
Text selection, right-click, copying for personal use, screen readers, magnifiers, voice control and reading tools are never blocked, on any page. The license limits what you may do with the material; it does not limit how you read it. The verification page and the team record exports are always readable.
5. Report a Problem
If something on the site does not work for you, email training@kcsctraining.com with the page address and what happened, and the assistive technology you use if any. I answer as promptly as my schedule allows and fix what can be fixed. If a quiz item cannot be completed because of an accessibility barrier, say so and the section is opened by hand.
