Privacy Policy

1. Who Is Responsible

KC Service and Consulting LLC, Albuquerque, New Mexico, runs this site as KCSC Training and is responsible for the data it holds. Contact: training@kcsctraining.com.

2. What Is Collected

• Your name, email address and organization, from the purchase or the seat activation.
• Sign-in records: the time, the device description and the network address, kept for security.
• Course records: which sections you opened and when, quiz attempts and scores, checkpoints, and the questions you ask.
• From Stripe, for card purchases: the billing state and country and the email used at checkout, so the record of sale is complete. The site never receives card numbers.
• Messages sent through the contact and request forms.

3. Why

To run the course: to sign you in, open sections as quizzes are passed, issue certificates, answer questions, report to a team purchaser where the seat terms allow, send the emails the course needs (sign-in links, welcome, reminders, renewal, receipts for invoiced orders), keep business records, and detect sharing or abuse of a seat.

4. What Is Not Done

No advertising. No sale or rental of data. No third-party analytics. No trackers. No scripts, fonts or content from another domain. The only cookie is the session cookie that keeps you signed in (and a token that protects forms), so there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The site keeps its own first-party counts of page views by section, sign-ins and quiz attempts, tied to seats, not to advertising profiles.

5. Payment Data

Card payments are handled by Stripe as merchant of record on Stripe's hosted page. The site never sees card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy and, where Link is used, Link's privacy policy apply to the payment. Invoiced orders are handled by KC Service and Consulting LLC directly and the invoice record is a business record.

6. Team Reporting

If your seat was bought by an organization, the team purchaser sees your progress and quiz scores, not your answers, and may export that record for training files. You are told this when the seat is activated.

7. The Verification Page

A certificate's verification page shows the holder's name, the volume, the edition, the completion date and the hours to anyone who has the certificate's code. That is the purpose of the certificate; ask before issuing if you do not want this.

8. Retention

• Certificate records are kept indefinitely, so a certificate can be verified years later.
• Account and course records are kept for seven years after your last access, as business records, then deleted.
• Questions published to other students or to the FAQ are anonymized on publication; identifying details are removed.
• Sign-in records are kept for one year.
• Backups are kept for 30 days.

9. Your Rights

You may ask to see the data held about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by email to training@kcsctraining.com. Deletion is subject to the verification record for any certificate you hold and to records the law requires KCSC to keep. Requests are answered within 30 days.

10. Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. There are no passwords to leak: sign-in is by a link or a code sent to your email. Each account has one active session. Card details never touch the site. The database is on the hosting provider's managed service, backed up daily, and reachable only by the application. Access to the back office requires a fresh sign-in for sensitive actions.

11. Where

The site and its data are hosted in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States.

12. Age

Buyers and students must be 18 or over. The site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect their data.

13. Changes

Changes to this policy are shown by a new "last updated" date on this page and, for material changes, by email to buyers and students.
